Phenalkamides are a newer class of epoxy curing agents that combine the chemistry of a Phenalkamine with a Polyamide. They are structurally designed to offer the rapid cure and moisture resistance of phenalkamines alongside the long pot life and extreme flexibility of traditional polyamides. Our high-performance Phenalkamide series represents the next generation of hybrid curing technology, strategically bridging the performance gap between traditional Polyamides and Phenalkamines. Drokamide portfolio is a technically advanced range of curing agents designed for formulators who require high-efficiency processing and reliable protective performance. By leveraging the unique molecular architecture of Cardanol-modified amines combined with fatty acid dimers, these phenalkamides offer a distinct mechanical edge. This chemistry facilitates rapid hardness development and "early rain resistance", making it an indispensable tool for outdoor applications in unpredictable climates. We are well-known high-performance phenalkamide suppliers, ensuring a consistent amine-value profile and precise viscosity control across the Drokamide series. We provide a comprehensive range of hybrid curing agents with full technical (AHEW/Amine Value/Viscosity) and supporting quality assurance documentation (phenalkamide COA/TDS/SDS). We ensure reliable lead times from pilot-batch evaluations to 10MT+ commercial-scale supply, enabling partners to lead in high-durability coating manufacturing.

Chemical Properties & Specifications
High-build primers and intermediate coats on vessel hulls and offshore structures. Exceptional salt-spray and corrosion resistance in aggressive maritime environments
Heavy-duty fleet refinishing, railcar coatings, and machinery protection where rapid drying and mechanical durability are critical requirements
Formulated to displace moisture at the substrate interface, ensuring a robust bond on damp steel or concrete where standard coatings typically fail
High-performance flooring systems and concrete sealers that require a balance of impact resistance and chemical stability
Versatile solution for coatings that must satisfy stringent VOC regulations through high-solid formulation capability without sacrificing application aesthetics
Specifically used when a project requires the toughness and overcoatability of a polyamide but must be applied in harsh, cold, or damp conditions where a standard polyamide would fail to cure or "blush"
A phenalkamine is formed via the Mannich reaction between cardanol, formaldehyde, and a polyamine. Note the characteristic phenolic ring and the 15-carbon aliphatic side chain.
Standard polyamides often struggle with slow cure rates in cold weather and poor moisture tolerance. Drokamide Phenalkamides utilize CNSL technology to provide "early rain resistance" and a much faster through-cure. This allows industrial facilities to return to service faster, significantly reducing downtime and labor costs while ensuring the coating won't fail if exposed to high humidity shortly after application.
The hybrid structure combines the flexibility and long overcoat window of a polyamide with the rapid hardness development and surface tolerance of a phenalkamine. This provides a larger "application window" for contractors, making the system less sensitive to substrate conditions while maintaining the mechanical toughness required for heavy-duty fleet and transport protection.
Drokamide 4402 is specifically engineered for rapid processing. With a low viscosity (300–700 cPs) and high reactivity (Amine Value 350–400), it facilitates fast-drying high-solid coatings suitable for general purpose industrial, marine, and flooring applications where productivity is a key performance indicator.
We solve the complexities between high-performance chemistry and global compliance. Every shipment is accompanied by a batch-specific Phenalkamides COA/TDS and a GHS-compliant SDS. Our products are REACH registered, ensuring Sourcing Managers have the necessary documentation for international trade and environmental audits in the maritime and protective sectors.
We maintain active production for our core Drokamide series to support global infrastructure demands. For commercial volumes up to 10MT, our standard lead time is 7–8 Weeks. Products are supplied in 200 Kg MS/HDPE Drums or 1,000L IBCs, offered Ex-Works from our global distribution hubs.
