Specifically used when a project requires the toughness and overcoatability of a polyamide but must be applied in harsh, cold, or damp conditions where a standard polyamide would fail to cure or "blush"

A phenalkamine is formed via the Mannich reaction between cardanol, formaldehyde, and a polyamine. Note the characteristic phenolic ring and the 15-carbon aliphatic side chain.

Standard polyamides often struggle with slow cure rates in cold weather and poor moisture tolerance. Drokamide Phenalkamides utilize CNSL technology to provide "early rain resistance" and a much faster through-cure. This allows industrial facilities to return to service faster, significantly reducing downtime and labor costs while ensuring the coating won't fail if exposed to high humidity shortly after application.

The hybrid structure combines the flexibility and long overcoat window of a polyamide with the rapid hardness development and surface tolerance of a phenalkamine. This provides a larger "application window" for contractors, making the system less sensitive to substrate conditions while maintaining the mechanical toughness required for heavy-duty fleet and transport protection.

Drokamide 4402 is specifically engineered for rapid processing. With a low viscosity (300–700 cPs) and high reactivity (Amine Value 350–400), it facilitates fast-drying high-solid coatings suitable for general purpose industrial, marine, and flooring applications where productivity is a key performance indicator.
