Epoxy Accelerator (CAS NO : 90-72-2)

Our high-performance Epoxy Accelerator portfolio is precision-engineered tertiary amines designed to catalyse the reaction between epoxy resins and various curing agents (specifically polyamides and amides). By incorporating Drocure Series accelerators into Part B (Hardener) at varied dosage levels (typically 1–5%), formulators can precisely dial in the curing speed of their systems without compromising the final physical properties. These tertiary amines act as powerful catalysts that lower the activation energy of the epoxy-amine reaction. Whether you are managing the cure rate of a high-build marine primer in sub-zero temperatures or accelerating a structural adhesive in a factory environment, our epoxy accelerator series provides the reactive precision needed. This flexibility ensures that the Total Cost of Quality is optimised by preventing "uncured" sites, reducing energy costs in heat-cured systems, and allowing for consistent results regardless of seasonal temperature fluctuations. We are one of the recognised tertiary amine accelerator supplier, ensuring high purity and consistent catalytic activity across the Drocure series globally. We provide a comprehensive range of accelerators with full technical documentation (Amine Value/Viscosity/Use Levels) and supporting quality assurance (Epoxy Accelerator COA/SDS). Our products include high-clarity grades for aesthetic applications and robust industrial catalysts for heavy-duty protection. We ensure reliable lead times from sampling to 10MT+ commercial supply, enabling partners to lead the market in high-efficiency epoxy manufacturing.

Applications of Epoxy Accelerator

Low-Temperature Curing

Winter-grade coatings and construction projects in cold climates, allowing epoxy systems to cure at temperatures where standard hardeners would remain dormant

Rapid Return-to-Service Floors

Industrial floor repairs and high-traffic commercial zones to drastically shorten "tack-free" times, minimising downtime for facilities

Heavy-Duty Protective Coatings

Through-cure of thick-film marine and pipeline coatings, ensuring the protective barrier reaches its maximum mechanical potential quickly

Structural Adhesives & Putties

Setting time of assembly adhesives and repair fillers, increasing the efficiency of automated production lines and field repairs

Have Questions About Epoxy Accelerator?
We've Got Answers.

Curing failures in the field are often caused by low ambient temperatures. By allowing the formulator to adjust the "Use Level" (1–5%) of the accelerator, we provide the ability to maintain consistent cure times across different seasons. This tunability eliminates the risk of "soft-cures" or moisture sensitivity in winter, reducing the need for costly rework and ensuring the long-term integrity of the coating or adhesive.

Standard accelerators like DMP-30 can be dark (Gardner 8+), which leads to yellowing in clear epoxy systems. Drocure M5131 is a refined grade with a Gardner value of 2 Max. This technical precision allows Sourcing Managers to procure a high-activity catalyst that preserves the "water-white" clarity of decorative floors and pottings, ensuring a premium aesthetic finish.

While specifically optimized for polyamides, amidoamines, and aliphatic amines, these tertiary amines are versatile catalysts for most epoxy systems. They work by deprotonating the amine or by opening the epoxide ring directly. Scientists value the consistent Amine Value of our series, which ensures predictable reactivity across different formulations.

We maintain robust inventory for our Drocure catalyst range. For commercial volumes up to 5MT, our standard lead time is 7–8 Weeks. Products are supplied in 200 Kg MS/HDPE Drums or 30 Kg HDPE Carboys, offered Ex-Works to support global supply chain logistics.

We bridge the gap between high-performance chemistry and global compliance. Every shipment is accompanied by a batch-specific Epoxy Accelerator Grade COA/TDS and a GHS-compliant SDS. Our products are REACH registered, providing procurement teams with the documentation required to pass technical audits and international safety inspections.
