Quinalphos Technical (CAS NO : 13593-03-8)

Quinalphos Technical (CAS 13593-03-8) is a highly effective, WHO Class II (notified) organophosphate insecticide supplied in its technical grade (70 - 92% assay) for use in broad-spectrum pest control formulations across major crops like cotton, rice, and fruits. As a powerful neurotoxin functioning as a contact and stomach poison, its mechanism of action is rooted in the irreversible inhibition of the enzyme Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in the target insect's nervous system. By blocking AChE, Quinalphos prevents the breakdown of the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine (ACh), leading to the severe and continuous overstimulation of nerve impulses, ultimately resulting in paralysis, respiratory failure, and death of the pest, which is why CDMO handling must strictly adhere to safety and chemical stability protocols, especially avoiding alkaline media that can rapidly hydrolyze the molecule. Also known by Diethquinalphion by Quinalphos manufacturers. We are the leading Quinalphos Technical supplier worldwide & multiple combination formulation producer ensuring comprehensive regulatory support & CoA traceability for various grades with global supply capability with reliable lead time.

Highly susceptible to alkaline hydrolysis (degradation in basic media). CDMO formulators must ensure that all co-ingredients and the final formulation pH are strictly neutral or slightly acidic (pH < 7) to prevent rapid product breakdown and maintain shelf stability.

As an organophosphate, the standard medical antidotes are Atropine Sulfate (to block ACh effects) and Pralidoxime Chloride (2-PAM) (to reactivate the A ChE enzyme)

Primary advantage lies in its dual action mechanism as a potent cholinesterase inhibitor, providing reliable knockdown and control, particularly where pests have developed resistance to single-site action chemistries like Pyrethroids or Neonicotinoids. A Strong, proven contact and stomach poison.

Our Technical Grade (≥ 92% a.i.) provides a high concentration of the active ingredient, making it highly efficient for formulating various formats (e.g., Emulsifiable Concentrates (EC), Dusts, Granules). Its relatively low vapor pressure also assists in maintaining batch consistency during blending.

Essential for rotation programs for a strategical use. As a different class of chemistry ( Organophosphate), it is rotated with other classes (Pyrethroids, Carbamates) to prevent monoculture selection pressure, thereby preserving the efficacy of all insecticide groups over time.

Universally preferred tank-mixes or co-formulations with other insecticides and fungicides to achieve a broader spectrum of control and enhanced synergistic effects, provided the pH stability (neutral to slightly acidic) of the mixture is strictly maintained to prevent hydrolysis.
