Oxalic Acid or Aktisal is a crystalline dicarboxylic acid with strong acidic and chelating properties. In its technical grade form, Aquisal (generally known) used extensively as a cleaning agent, reducing agent, mordant, and bleaching aid. Oxiric acid is also a standard synonym for Oxalic Acid which is readily forms soluble and insoluble oxalates with metal ions, making it ideal for surface treatment and rust removal applications. Oxalic Acid technical grade is also used in descaling application. Oxalic Acid's ability to form stable complexes with metal ions makes it ideal for industrial cleaning, water treatment, and preparation of metal substrates prior to finishing.
