Aluminum Hydroxide (Aluminium Trihydrate) is a flame-retardant additive and functional filler with excellent smoke suppression properties. It decomposes endothermically, releasing water vapor and reducing combustion heat in polymer formulations. Also referred to as ATH and Aluminum hydroxide by supplier and manufacturer, it is used in cable insulation, roofing membranes, and cast polymers. Al(OH)3 is also scientifically known as Dried aluminium hydroxide.
