Quizalofop Ethyl Technical (CAS NO : 76578-14-8)

Quizalofop Ethyl is a selective herbicide belonging to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate (AOPP) class. It is widely used for post-emergent control of annual and perennial grass weeds in a variety of broad-leaf crops. It works by inhibiting acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), an enzyme critical for fatty acid biosynthesis in plants, leading to the disruption of weed growth and development.

Have Questions About Quizalofop Ethyl Technical?
We've Got Answers.

It is an ACCase inhibitor, disrupting fatty acid synthesis in grassy weeds, leading to cell membrane disintegration and plant death.

It degrades into Quizalofop acid, which is less active. The half-life in soil varies but is generally 15–60 days, depending on conditions.

It targets only monocot (grassy) weeds and does not affect dicot (broadleaf) plants.

It is widely used in soybean, cotton, groundnut, and pulses to control barnyard grass, foxtail, and wild oat.

Common formulations include 5% EC and 10% EC. Available in 1L, 5L, and 25L HDPE drums for bulk supply.

It should not be mixed with broadleaf herbicides, as they may reduce efficacy. Avoid application near water bodies due to potential aquatic toxicity.
