Polyamide Hardener (CAS NO : 68410-23-1)

Polyamide Hardener portfolio: By varying the dimer acid structure and amine functionality, we provide a spectrum of curing agents with diverse reactive profiles (Amine Values) and cross-linking densities (AHEW). This allows formulators to dial in the exact "Induction Time" & "Pot Life" required for complex field applications from rapid-cure maintenance to large-area maritime coating projects. Characterised by their superior "surface-wetting" properties, our Dromide series ensures excellent adhesion even on damp or manually prepared surfaces, significantly lowering the Total Cost of Quality by reducing substrate preparation requirements and extending the maintenance cycle. High-performance Polyamide Hardeners are meticulously engineered as critical curing agents for two-component epoxy systems, specifically optimised for the extreme demands of heavy-duty industrial and maritime environments. We are established Polyamide Hardeners suppliers, ensuring a consistent amine-value profile and precise AHEW (Amine Hydrogen Equivalent Weight) across the Dromide series. We provide a broad range of high-performance curing agents with comprehensive technical (Viscosity/Color/Amine Value) and supporting quality assurance documentation (Polyamide Hardeners grade COA/TDS/SDS), detailed compatibility mapping with standard epoxy resins, and global regulatory support. We ensure reliable lead times from project-specific evaluation to 10MT+ commercial-scale supply, enabling partners to maintain full adaptability in global marine and industrial coating sectors

Have Questions About Polyamide Hardener?
We've Got Answers.

Field conditions in marine environments are unpredictable. The tunability of our Dromide® series allows formulators to select a hardener with the specific AHEW and induction profile required for varying temperatures and humidity. This ensures a consistent cure and prevents surface defects like "amine blush," reducing the need for costly rework and extending the vessel's time-at-sea between maintenance intervals.

The Amine Value represents the chemical potency of the hardener. For structural adhesives like Dromide 9333, a high and consistent amine value (230-260) ensures the stoichiometric reaction with the epoxy resin is complete. This results in maximum peel strength and impact resistance, ensuring the "Total Cost of Quality" includes high structural reliability in large-scale assembly.

We specialise in large-scale industrial supply with a standard lead time of 7–8 Weeks for volumes up to 10MT. All products are offered Ex-Works and supplied in 200 Kg MS/HDPE Drums or 1,000L IBCs with moisture-barrier seals to prevent carbonation of the reactive amine groups.

Environmental regulations like the EU Solvent Emissions Directive are tightening. Our high-solids grades (like Dromide 9340) allow for the formulation of "Low-VOC" coatings that meet strict emission limits without sacrificing performance. Scientists value the high reactive index which provides robust cross-linking even in thick-film applications, ensuring long-term barrier protection.

We solve the gap between technical specification and international compliance. Every shipment is accompanied by a batch-specific COA/TDS and a GHS-compliant SDS. We provide detailed Stoichiometric Mixing Ratios (PHR) data based on standard resin EEWs, ensuring Sourcing Managers and project consultants have all the necessary data to clear technical audits for bridges, pipelines, and offshore platforms.

CAS 68410-23-1 typically utilizes polyethylenepolyamines which offer higher reactivity and faster cure profiles suitable for cold-weather marine applications. CAS 68082-29-1 grades often provide a higher degree of imidazoline content, which improves the water displacement and corrosion resistance on damp steel. This allows procurement to select the precise grade needed for regional climate conditions.
