Aliphatic Amine Adduct (CAS NO : 113930-69-1)

Our comprehensive Amine-Based Curing Agent Portfolio represents a sophisticated range of reactive chemistries designed to transform liquid epoxy resins into high-performance thermoset polymers. This Drocure series is engineered to meet the extreme technical demands of global infrastructure, maritime assets, and industrial manufacturing. Central scientific objective of our Amine Portfolio is adaptability. Amine Adducts (Aliphatic, Aromatic, Cycloaliphatic): Pre-reacted systems that solve common industrial challenges like "amine blushing", toxicity, and slow cure rates, while providing specialised resistance to acids and UV light. By offering a range of aliphatic structures for rapid ambient cure and cycloaliphatic structures for superior UV stability and gloss retention, we scimplify provide molecular precision needed for high-stakes coatings and adhesives. Total Cost of Quality is optimised through reduced surface defects (like carbamation or amine blush), faster development of mechanical properties, and extended maintenance cycles in aggressive chemical environments. Our high-performance Aliphatic and Cycloaliphatic Amine Adducts are engineered as premium curing agents for epoxy systems that require rapid processing, exceptional surface aesthetics, and high chemical resistance. By pre-reacting amines with epoxy resins, we provide a series of "adducted" hardeners that offer reduced volatility, lower toxicity, and minimised "blushing" compared to pure amines. We are an established Aliphatic Amine, Aromatic Amine, Cycloaliphatic Amine Adduct supplier ensuring a consistent amine-value profile and ultra-low viscosity options across the Drocure series. We provide a broad range of high-performance curing agents with comprehensive technical (AHEW/PHR/Viscosity) and supporting quality assurance documentation (COA/TDS/SDS), detailed chemical resistance mapping, and global regulatory support. We ensure reliable lead times from pilot-scale R&D to 10MT+ commercial supply, enabling partners to lead the market in high-durability epoxy applications.

Have Questions About Aliphatic Amine Adduct?
We've Got Answers.

Aliphatic adducts generally offer faster curing and higher reactivity at ambient temperatures, whereas Cycloaliphatic adducts provide superior UV resistance and gloss retention. For a Sourcing Manager, choosing the correct CAS group ensures the product meets the specific environmental exposure requirements of the project - preventing yellowing in outdoor applications or ensuring rapid turnaround in indoor flooring.

Raw amines are highly susceptible to "Amine Blush" (carbamation) when exposed to humidity. Our Drocure series are pre-reacted (adducted), which significantly lowers their vapor pressure and sensitivity to moisture. This technical competency eliminates the need for rework and surface cleaning, ensuring a high-quality finish on the first application.

Drocure 5172 is specifically engineered for high chemical resistance and is suitable for potable water applications. Its cycloaliphatic structure provides a dense cross-linked network that prevents leaching, ensuring the integrity of the coating remains compliant with international health and safety standards for drinking water storage.

Pure amines are hygroscopic and react with atmospheric CO2 and moisture to form carbamates (blush). By pre-reacting the amine into an adduct, we reduce the concentration of free primary amines. This scientific modification ensures a cleaner cure and a high-gloss surface even in challenging environmental conditions, reducing the "Total Cost of Quality" by eliminating the need for surface sanding or re-coating.

For filament-wound composite pipes and tanks, the matrix must withstand extreme internal pressures. Drocure™ 5158 provides the high cross-link density and interlaminar shear strength required to pass the Spool Burst Test. For procurement, this ensures that the resin system meets international safety standards for high-pressure fluid containment.

Drocure'M 5304 and 5308 are specifically engineered with cycloaliphatic structures that are inherently resistant to UV degradation. Unlike aliphatic or aromatic amines that yellow quickly, these grades maintain high clarity and gloss. Scientists value their low Gardner color (2 Max), which allows for the formulation of "water-white" clear coats and vibrant decorative floorinas.

Standard aliphatic amines often react with atmospheric CO2 and moisture to form carbamates, appearing as a white greasy film (blush). Cycloaliphatic adducts like Drocure*" 5304 have a ring-shaped molecular structure that is significantly less prone to this reaction, ensuring a high-gloss, crystal-clear finish even in humid environments.

The Amine Hydrogen Equivalent Weight (AHEW) defines the stoichiometric mixing ratio with the epoxy resin. Scientists use this value to ensure a 100% cross-link density. For a high-performance adhesive like Drocure 5111, the locked AHEW of 95 ensures the bond reaches its maximum tensile shear strength without leaving unreacted "soft spots."

Standard Polyamides are excellent for corrosion, but they fail when exposed to concentrated acids or solvents. The benzene rings in Aromatic Adducts provide a much denser and chemically inert cross-linked network, ensuring the "Total Cost of Quality" includes a floor that won't degrade when chemicals are spilled.

PHR varies from 20 to 60. This is due to the different Amine Values and molecular weights of the adducts. Always use the stoichiometric calculation provided in the TDS to ensure a 100% cure.

Aliphatic amines provide excellent speed and strength but yellow quickly under UV light. For outdoor or decorative projects, Cycloaliphatic Adducts (CAS 38294-64-3) are the strategic choice. Their molecular ring structure is inherently resistant to UV degradation, ensuring that the "Total Cost of Quality" includes long-term color retention and aesthetic appeal.

We maintain a robust production cycle for our core Drocure grades. For commercial volumes up to 5MT, our standard lead time is 7–8 Weeks. All products are offered Ex-Works and supplied in 200 Kg MS/HDPE Drums or 1,000L IBCs, ensuring the reactive groups are protected from moisture during transit.

We bridge the gap between technical production and global regulatory safety. Every shipment includes a batch-specific adduct grade COA/TDS and a GHS-compliant SDS. All products in our Drocure™ range are REACH registered, ensuring that Sourcing Managers can safely move goods across borders without the risk of customs delays or compliance penalties.
